Joey, our cheeky little rescue boy, was diagnosed with Lupus - a chronic autoimmune disease. As his condition worsened, we tried everything: medications, countless vet visits, and endless advice. Nothing seemed to help.

Watching him decline was heartbreaking, and we felt completely powerless.

Determined to keep searching, we found Dr. Kate Millhouse - a holistic veterinarian with a completely different approach. She introduced us to the power of fresh food, acupuncture, titre testing and traditional Chinese medicine.

By this point, Lupus had started attacking Joey’s face. His nose was cracked and bleeding, covered in painful scabs. The skin around his eyes was raw and inflamed. It was awful to see him in so much pain.

With time, real food, whole-body care, everything started to change. Joey’s nose healed. His eyes grew brighter. His energy came flooding back. And that spark - Joey’s unmistakable cheeky spark came roaring back to life.

We were amazed by the transformation and knew we had to share what we’d learned.

Journey Add-on

That’s how Chefs and Dogs was born - by accident, by love, and by a dog who wouldn’t give up..  Court, a devoted dog trainer, groomer, and lifelong dog lover, and Dan, a chef with a love for fresh, nourishing food, came together with one mission: to share the power of fresh food, acupuncture, herbs, supplements and the kind of care you don’t always hear about especially when nothing else is helping.

What started as a way to heal our own dog quickly turned into a mission to inspire others to try something different starting with fresh, whole foods.

- together with an incredible community who shares our love for happy, healthy dogs.
