Chapter one · Meet Joey
It started
with Joey.
The little rescue dog who changed the way we cared for every dog.
When Joey was diagnosed with lupus, his health continued to decline despite medications, countless vet visits and everything we knew to try.
Then we found holistic veterinarian Dr Kate Millhouse. She created a broader care plan specifically for Joey, including a fresh-food diet, acupuncture, herbs, supplements, traditional chinese medicine and a whole-dog approach.
Slowly, things changed. Joey's nose healed, his energy returned and that unmistakable spark began to shine again.
Joey taught us to ask more questions, find the right professional support and treat every dog as an individual.
Court is a trainer, groomer and lifelong dog lover. Dan is a chef who believes every dog deserves good-quality food made with fresh, nourishing ingredients. We began sharing what Joey had taught us, and an incredible community of dog lovers joined the journey.
